The red-white-red trail marker, combined with the logo, identifies the sections of the Sentiero Italia CAI. Walking even just one segment means taking part in a major territorial enhancement project, made possible by the constant work of CAI members who survey and maintain the routes to ensure their accessibility and safety.

Moving in a natural environment, however, requires preparation and awareness. A trail is not a road: it is essential to know how to read maps, interpret the surrounding environment and monitor weather conditions. Each route is classified according to a difficulty scale: even tourist sections (T) require adequate physical fitness, technical clothing and suitable footwear.
