Hiking
A medium-length and elevation stage that leads the Sentiero Italia CAI through the Puez massif in the Puez Odle Natural Park. From the village of Selva di Val Gardena, the route continues towards the Alpine Training Center of the Carabinieri and follows trail number 14, which runs through the stunning Vallunga. While walking, you'll be surrounded by rocky walls where it's not uncommon to spot hawks or chamois. After about two hours of relatively flat walking, the ascent to the refuge begins along a scree slope dominated by edelweiss. After another hour of climbing, you reach the plateau where the Rifugio Puez, owned by the CAI Bolzano section, is located.
